A Dundalk man has pleaded guilty to damaging religious property after vandalizing Jewish gravestones with swastikas and other antisemitic symbols at a Baltimore County cemetery in 2023.

George Horn, 36, admitted targeting Ohr Knesseth Israel Anshe Sfard Cemetery specifically because it is Jewish, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for Maryland. He faces a maximum sentence of three years in prison.

Authorities said Horn entered the cemetery in July 2023 and spray-painted several gravestones, primarily with swastikas. Cemetery caretakers later discovered 12 damaged headstones. Despite efforts to clean the graffiti, some swastika outlines remained, requiring replacement of certain stones.

Investigators recovered additional evidence from Horn’s vehicle, storage unit and phone, including antisemitic messages, a journal referencing Nazism and white supremacy, a video showing him spray-painting two grave markers, and a translated copy of Adolf Hitler’s manifesto.

Prosecutors said the evidence demonstrated Horn’s antisemitic animus and deliberate targeting of the Jewish cemetery, which was established in Dundalk in the late 19th century.

Horn is scheduled to be sentenced on January 14, 2027, at 3 p.m.
