Baltimore, MD – November 3, 2026 - The first and second graders at Torah Institute / Yeshivas Kochav Yitzchak had a special visitor recently. Mr. Avi Ray came to the Cheder to teach the boys all about beekeeping, and it was a lesson they won't soon forget.

Mr. Ray walked the talmidim through the world of the hive. He showed them how bees live and work together, how they make honey, and what a beekeeper does to care for them. The boys listened closely, and many hands went up with questions about everything they were seeing.

The visit was one more example of the Cheder's commitment to visual learning. Seeing and experiencing a subject firsthand helps young children understand and remember it far better than hearing about it alone. For the boys, the wonders of Hashem's world became real in front of their eyes.

The Cheder thanks Mrs. Ilene Wilson, a devoted teacher, for arranging the presentation, and Mr. Ray for sharing his time and knowledge with the students, and looks forward to more learning experiences like this one.
